Aaron Lamphere working with students on code avengers' Intro to python course
For the first week, students worked on strengthening their mathematics skills. Their classes ranged from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus, and Lab 29 prepped them on the material they would be learning in the upcoming school year. While they spent time learning traditionally in the classroom, they were also given practice on online learning platforms like Khan Academy to give them experience using outside resources that will help them throughout the school year.
The following week Lab 29 focused on tech in the classroom with computer programming and collaborative learning through Google applications. Lab 29 set the students up with professional email accounts, taught the students how to use G-suite, and set them up with accounts on Code Avengers. The students were able to learn the basics of Python and how to work collaboratively through G-suite applications, such as Google Docs and Google Slides.
